How To Collect Your Sample


Before activating your kit, please watch this informative video for the exact steps to swab your throat and nose for your Fit to Fly test. Once you have correctly swabbed, please place the swab in the sample tube provided, fabric end first.

Snap off the stick at the breakpoint to ensure none of the germs on your hands gets mixed in with your sample. Place the sample tube in the clear bag provided in your test kit, ensuring it contains an absorbent silica sachet and seal carefully.

Finding Your Specimen Number


Each Covid-19 Test Kit you receive has a unique Specimen Number. In order to activate your Test Kit please locate the number on the (Request Form) Sample Tube found inside the Test Kit box. The Specimen Number is shown beneath the barcode on the top of the Request Form and on your Sample Tube.

1Where can I find the Specimen Number?
Each Covid-19 Test Kit you receive has a unique Specimen Number. In order to activate your Test Kit please locate the number on the Request Form found inside the Test Kit box. The Specimen Number is shown beneath the barcode on the top of the Request Form.
2When should I take my sample?
Requirements vary by airline and destination and it is your responsibility to check the maximum number of hours/days prior to your flight you need to have taken your test by, for it to be accepted. Time windows between 48 - 96 hours are normally given by your airline or the country you are flying to.
3Is the information mandatory?
Yes, all information required to activate your Fit 2 Fly Covid-19 Test Kit as per UK Government requirements.
4How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a tracking order reference number via email and text. When returning your sample please take note of the return tracking reference number affixed to your Free Royal Mail 24-hour priority mail return label.

5How do I return my Test Kit sample?
We have included a pre-paid address label on the back of the test kit box to send the test back to ADNA Laboratory via a post box. When returning your sample by post, please make sure to take note of the postal tracking number.
6How long to results take?
Our laboratory normally processes and return results within 24 hours (Fit to Fly Only) from receiving the activated test kit at the laboratory. You will receive an email notifying you that your results and certificate are available to view and download. For RT-PCR Tests including General testing, Fit to Fly, Test to Release and Arrivals Day 2 and Day 8 tests, we aim to email your result to you between 24 to 72 hours, however in some cases, this could take up to 5 days of receiving your sample.

Activate Your Kit

Before sending your testing kit to the laboratory, the activation procedure must be completed for your test to be valid and for a sample to be tested when received in our laboratory. Result and certificate will be issued using the details provided during kit activation, there will be no amendment to test certificates once testing is completed. Results are sent within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your sample in our laboratory through the email address provided during kit activation.
